We are seeking a skilled Arabic to English Translator (Freelancer) to support our podcast production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content from Arabic into English, ensuring translations reflect the tone, style, and intent of the original material. This role requires strong linguistic ability, cultural awareness, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurate Translation: Translate a wide variety of materials (scripts, videos, and other produced content) from Arabic into English.
• Consistency & Relevance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance in all translations.
• Tone Adaptation: Adapt tone and style to match the intended audience (formal, professional, casual, or creative).
• Proofreading: Review and edit translated texts for grammar, clarity, and flow.
• Collaboration: Work closely with writers, editors, and content teams to maintain consistency in messaging.
• Research: Investigate terminology and context to provide precise and accurate translations.
• Confidentiality: Maintain discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive content.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience (1–3 years or more) as a translator, ideally Arabic → English.
• Language Skills: Native or near-native fluency in English, with strong command of Modern Standard Arabic.
• Writing Ability: Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
• Cultural Awareness: Strong understanding of cultural nuances in both Arabic and English.
• Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
