Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Post Producer to join our team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the entire post-production cycle. The Assistant Post Producer will work closely with the Head of Post Production, supporting editors, coordinating workflows, managing schedules, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time with no delays.
Responsibilities
- Footage Review: Review incoming footage for quality, completeness, and readiness before editing begins.
- Task Coordination: Monitor and review tasks assigned by the Head of Post Production, ensuring clear communication and timely execution.
- Editorial Support: Assist post production team with project needs, providing resources and support to keep workflows efficient.
- Team Management: Oversee and manage the night shift post-production team to ensure smooth transitions and uninterrupted progress.
- Workflow Oversight: Ensure that the full post-production cycle (from ingest to delivery) is running seamlessly and without delays.
- Time Tracking: Monitor, manage, and update the team’s time sheet and hours sheet to maintain accuracy and accountability.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in ensuring all deliverables meet the team’s creative and technical standards before final submission.
- Communication: Act as a bridge between the Head of Post Production and the editing team, making sure all updates and feedback are clearly relayed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in post-production coordination, assistant production, or a similar role.
Skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with post-production workflows and software (Adobe Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve).
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve workflow issues.
