Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Colorist to join our post-production team. The primary responsibility of this role is to color grade RAW footage and design custom LUTs that elevate our visual storytelling. This is a crucial creative and technical position, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of visual quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Color Grading: Expertly color grade RAW video footage to enhance visual storytelling, mood, and tone across diverse projects.
- LUT Creation: Develop, refine, and maintain custom LUTs to establish distinct and consistent visual styles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, cinematographers, and editors to understand creative vision and translate it into compelling color work.
- Technical Precision: Ensure color accuracy, consistency, and quality across multiple formats and platforms.
- Workflow Management: Manage color pipelines from RAW footage to final delivery, optimizing efficiency and maintaining industry standards.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed checks to guarantee that final graded footage is broadcast-ready and visually polished.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest color grading tools, workflows, and trends to continuously improve output.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Colorist or in a related post-production role.
Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard color grading software such as DaVinci Resolve (preferred), Baselight, or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge of color science, codecs, file formats, and RAW workflows.
- Deep understanding of color theory and its application in visual storytelling.
- Ability to create and apply LUTs across different cameras and production environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a refined aesthetic sensibility.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interpret creative direction effectively.
